Dr. Chris Kelly is a 2009 graduate of the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine.  Born and raised in Mechanicville, New York, Dr. Chris developed an early interest in the care of animals.  In 1998, he completed an associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology at the State University of New York at Delhi.  He then practiced as a registered veterinary technician at Neuse River Veterinary Hospital, a mixed small animal and equine practice in Wendell, North Carolina.  There he gained a considerable amount of practical and technical experience in the veterinary profession while completing a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science at North Carolina State University.  Dr. Chris’ rewarding experience as a veterinary technician compelled him to pursue further education and training to become a veterinarian.  He was excited to become part of the team at Creature Comforts Animal Hospital in June of 2009.

Dr. Chris spends much of his free time mountain biking and enjoys camping, photography, and relaxing with his dog, Layla and 3 cats, Titan, Circe, and Hercules.
